This category celebrates Western North Carolina's heritage crafts and regional traditions — the makers preserving Appalachian and Cherokee culture through handmade work that doesn't fit neatly into a single material category. Each story connects craft to the mountains, history, and people that shaped it.

The Crafters part of the website is organized by craft category (Wood, Metal, Food, Pottery/Glass, Fiber, WNC), each with its own page.
